Williamsburg is the gateway to the Berkshire Trail. Enjoy a delightful drive out along Rte. 9 or just poke around our bucolic Berkshire hills.

Please be sure to stop at our General Store in Williamsburg – there’s no place like it in all the world. We’ve been around since 1977 – going on 50 wonderful years. The original store opened in 1876, 101 years before we arrived. You’ll find many historical appurtenances still in in use.

Now, we don’t for a minute want you to confuse us with a store of the same name in Williamsburg, Virginia. Microsoft Edge has designated us the “most charming General Store” in all of Massachusetts, and one of the most charming in all 50 states! And, that’s pretty hard to beat!

OWNER: Heather Majercik

  • FOUNDERS: Carol and David Majercik (With lots of help from our excellent children: Heather, Becky, and Andrew)
  • EMPLOYEES: Some 20 wonderful people work for the store. You’ll find many of us out in the store where we can be of help to our customers. Now and then one of our talented bakers will come out of the bakery with a tray of hot breads or pastries, teasing you to take some home.
